About
Specializing in architecture, civil engineering, and urban planning, the Beijing University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Chinese: 北京建筑大学; BUCEA) is a renowned university in China’s capital. As the only architectural university in Beijing, BUCEA, was founded in 1936 as the Primary Industrial School by the Qing Dynasty Government and has a long and illustrious history.
With more than 90,000 illustrious graduates, the university was jointly sponsored by the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China. The university serves more than 12,000 enrolled students, and it runs two campuses in Xicheng and Daxing and employs more than 1,100 faculty and staff. Moreover, BUCEA provides six doctoral programs, fourteen master’s programs, and thirty-five undergraduate programs in a variety of faculties, including management, architecture, civil engineering, and the environment.
