About
Guangzhou Medical University (GMU), founded in 1958, is a well-known university that specializes in medical education and research. In 2022, the university was acknowledged under China’s Double First-Class Construction. Furthermore, GMU provides a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate degrees in fields like as medicine, science, engineering, management, and law. It has two main campuses: the Yuexiu Campus in downtown Guangzhou and the larger Panyu Campus near the Pearl River.
GMU has 25 teaching faculties, 27 research centers, and 14 linked hospitals. It has a national medical center, a national clinical research center, a state key lab, and other provincial and municipal labs and research platforms. Clinical Medicine, a significant discipline at GMU, is top-ranked globally at ESI. Additionally, the ten additional fields, including pharmacology, neuroscience, and immunology, are in the top 1% of the ESI global rankings. Undergraduate Admission Requirements
- Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport.
- Applicants should be physically and mentally healthy, and meet the medical examination standards for applying for a study visa or residence permit in China.
- Chinese requirement: 180 points or above in HSK Level 4 (inclusive) or equivalent Chinese language proficiency upon admission.
