Xuzhou Medical University (XZMU), located in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, less than three hours by high-speed train from Beijing or Shanghai. It is a prominent medical university directly administered by the Jiangsu Provincial Government. The university was established in 1958. By now, it has become a key center for medical education, healthcare, and research in northern Jiangsu and the Huaihai Economic Zone.
